Kula Duca( Kula Măldărescu) is situated together with Kula Greceanu and the memorial house of I.G. Duca in the Măldărești Museum Complex.
The manor dates back to 1812, being built by Gheorghiță Măldărescu, the son of Gheorghe Măldărescu. It features a rectangular compact plan, few , reduced in size openings, vaulted rooms of low height, spacious wooden beamed basement. On the interior there are stucco works dating back to 1827, together with other elements such as stoves or the painted underside of the stair connecting the ground floor to the first.
In 1907 the manor is bought by I.G. Duca, the minister and sate person, who builds nearby a holidy house in the neoromanian style with formal influences from the two kule. Ever since he bought the manor he intended to transform it into a museum. To achieve this he buys from the villagers ceramic pieces, traditional handmade carpets and furniture to recreate and decorate the interiors.
After the sudden and tragic death of the owner - shot by the Legionary Movement in Sinaia, the domain passes on as dowry to the Greceanu family.
After 1948 and converting the domain into a museum complex, a restoration campain is being carried on the three major buildings of the complex. Both Kula Duca and Kula Greceanu are used as shooting setting for Romanian historical movies of the 1960-1980s.
